Ever Have to Adjust Your Rearview Mirror at the End of the Day?

Most people notice that at the end of a long day they are beginning to slouch. The rearview mirror may have to be adjusted because we're not sitting up as tall in the car seat as when we drove to work. After a day of manual labour or slouching in front of a computer, we can develop bad postural habits that, over time, become a problem.

When we slouch, our spine no longer works as a support column. Our neck and back muscles have to work overtime to keep our heads up over our shoulders. We use all of our strength just to hold ourselves up throughout the day, and then we don't have as much energy at the end of the day to enjoy our families or hobbies.

Poor posture also creates strain on the joints of our neck, back, hips, knees, and ankles. This strain can lead to disc and joint problems and accelerate arthritic changes in the body.

Chiropractic treatment in Vernon can help to remove these strains and correct poor posture. Then, learning a few postural exercises will help it become more permanent. A strong, upright posture will allow you to be more active for longer, getting more enjoyment out of life.
